Frequently Asked Questions from Clients

  • We will assign a direct broker to you, and your broker will help you submit your application.

  • When you apply for life insurance, you will sign a HIPPA agreement allowing the company to access your protected health information for the purposes of the application. This signature will ONLY apply to application you are completing and will not be shared with third parties. Only the life insurance carrier can access your health information when it pertains to your application. Your broker will NOT be able to access your protected health information.

  • Yes we do! Simply fill out our form on the Find Coverage tab and we will let you know if you qualify. Know this, our goal is ALWAYS day one options. If you do not qualify, we will let you know prior to enrolling.

  • A Two-Year wait otherwise known as a Guaranteed Issue plan, will guarantee coverage without asking health questions. However, if the insured person passes away within the first two years, the policy will only be worth what was paid in plus interest. This can be a great option if you truly have no other options, but it’s best to work with a broker to ensure you exhaust your day one coverage options.

  • A contestability period is the period of the first two years of any life insurance policy, where the company will investigate a claim. Contestability is designed to protect the insurance company from fraudulent activity. In most cases, after a contestability period is over, the company can no longer contest a claim despite the reason for death.

Example: Ms. Susie has smoked cigarettes for her entire life but she tells her broker she doesn’t smoke in order to receive a cheaper rate. Ms. Susie then dies of terminal lung cancer 12 months in and the company decides not to pay the claim due to the lie told on the original application.
